Pop Up Pancakes

I got up early this morning cause I was hungry and after I ate, I was awake so I got on the internet, and through some blog stalking found a cool recipe I knew I had to try today!
It was called pop up pancakes or also known as German pancakes. You can cook then in a 13x9 pan or a round cake pan, but doing them in the muffin tin made it easier to portion out and easier for the kids to eat.
Recipe:
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • dash salt
  • Preheat oven at 400*
I mixed them in the blender to make it nice and smooth, and then poured into the tins, cook for 15 mins, and pop them out using a spoon or a knife.

I put butter then strawberry and banana, then syrup then powdered sugar on top, well for the kids they just go the fruit on top and little bit of powdered sugar!
(I am watching Dally this week while his mom and dad are on a cruise)
They all loved them and ate it up, I felt good knowing it didn't have any extra "stuff" or sugar, it was light, fluffy and easy to make.
Abby loving on Samuel.

Homemade soap

So I had a friend tell me she made homemade laundry soap, I was sold, I wanted to do it! I borrowed some from her to see how all of our skins reacted, and since we didn't have any problems, on a Saturday we went over and made some soap.
Super easy to do all you need is a large bowl mix in:
2 cups borax
2 cups washing soda
1 cup baking soda
1 cup oxy cleaner ( or we used the store brand, cheaper and works as good)
1 bar of Dr. bronners soap, (grated up finely) (vitamin shop)
and a drop of any essential oil (if wanted)
You can put it in a gallon sized zip bag or if you have an empty oxy cleaner container it fit nicely in there.
All you need to do is put a tablespoon or two for big/dirty loads, and your done, easy, fast and most importantly very cheap!

Homemade fabric softener:
I save an old fabric softener or detergent bottled (rinsed well). Using a funnel I carefully pour the following into the bottle:

2 cups vinegar
2 cups baking soda
4 cups hot water

Be careful when adding the baking soda, do so very slowly as it will foam up. Cap and shake gently from side to side, opening the cap to allow air to escape (you may need to do this several times). Add about 20 drops of essential oil. I love lavender but you can use whatever you love.

Shake side to side before each use as the baking soda will settle. Pour just past the line in a downyball (I find this method works better than the machines fabric softener dispenser). Toss the ball in and that's it.

It costs a mere pennies to make. Buy the huge boxes of baking soda now available and gallons of white vinegar.

If you have any question feel free to ask!

24 weeks

I am 24 weeks, I cant believe it, I re-read what I wrote when I was 24 weeks with Abby, and it is so crazy at how different these pregnancy have been. With baby B I have felt more at peace and more comfortable with it, I haven't worried once about loosing him, all though it is nice knowing that now that I am 24 weeks he has a chance to live outside the womb, all though I kinda hopes he is as stubborn as Abby and stayed the whole time in me! I wont be saying that when 12-11-10 come and goes and still no baby B.
I have another OB appointment on this Friday, I am looking forward to seeing how Im doing and to hear his heart beat. I feel great, I am tired somedays but that is what is expected, I am happy, and I am grateful for my loving husband and my great friends, who would do anything for me and I would do the same for them. I love my life and everyone who is in it.
I feel baby B move a lot, the first time I felt him move was when I placed my hands on my belly was on July 19 2010. The first time I saw my belly jump was on July 28th 2010. I am so happy when I can fell him and see him move, my favotite moments are when I aske abby to kiss the baby and she will kiss my belly, my other favorite moments are when she can feel him move and she laughs, it has happened twice, once when I was rocking Abby and saying our good night prayers her brother kicked and she laugh right after so I think she felt it. The other time was the other day when she was sitting my lap drawing, and he was moving like a crazy fish she was giggling so much, I was talking to mom and she could hear Abby laughing, I was very happy then.
I am excited to see him and I'm excited to see how Abby reacts. Thank you to evryone who has been there for me lately.

Gruene Texas 2

This morning, Dustun and I packed the kids up in the car and drove to Gruene Texas. Candice and some other friend were doing a Harley event and were going to meet up later in the day.
we went shopping in the old shops, and one store even had a some free kittens, so cute, I asked if we could hold one, since neither on of the kids have ever seen a cat I thought it would be cool, well Samuel was all boy (rough) and Abby was a in love! She was so upset when we had to put the cat back, she just kept looking at it and petting it, making some weird noise I guess her cat noise?!
We found this little area off the main road, and let the kids out to play while we waited for everyone to join us. This is the only place I remember to take pictures.

For lunch we went up with Candice, Tiffany and Tyler at the gristmill, today menu was, chicken salad sandwich, a spicy burger, turkey sandwich, grilled chicken sandwich and some steak sandwich , and of course the big onion rings. I love this restaurant, the food and the atmosphere is wonderful!
After lunch dustun and I loaded up the kids and they and I passed out soon after we started driving home, we drove around and looked at some house, we also drove over the river which looked so cool and refreshing.
Today was another good day! Filled with, friends, food and family, my three favorite F's!

24 weeks today, time is flying by and I feel great!

corn on the cob

We had a very good dinner, dustun and I went grocery shopping, and got some good looking sweet corn, salmon fillets and salad. We cleaned and prepared the fish and corn to be cooked on the grill, it was delouse!

I let the kids try and eat off the cob, they more or less just looked at it and played with it, if they did bite into it it was a small bite.

Weekend fun

8-13-10
This past weekend started out on Friday when Candice asked Abby and I to go to her work picnic, it was a lot of fun they had snow cones, hot dogs, a bouncy house and they were showing off how to train attack dogs.

Then we loaded them up and went to San Marcos, to visit with Autumn and help her get settled into her new apartment, then after wards we went shopping, Abby and Samuel both needed new clothes so we went to the carters store, and I also needed new clothes so I went to the maternity store, I got 3 new shirts, and a new swim top. Candice also bought some shirts since the one she did wear was getting hot.

8-14-10
We went to our friends house and made some homemade laundry soap, which is super easy and cheap to make, no more buying from the store! Then after wards we headed up to Houston to go visit the new niece and nephew and grandparents. The drive there was not so fun we had to stop a few times due to crying babies, and a mommy. That night we ate Chinese food, then we went to a park to play, they love play grounds, Abby kept running around after Samuel, or climbing up and down the slides or stairs.

Later that nigh we put the kids in the same room to sleep, they sleep like rocks they were both out, fast. I had not a fun night I lost my dinner :(

8-15-10
Today we were able to meet Candice new niece and nephew, so tiny and cute! We had a family lunch at Olive Garden it was good, we had good food, good family and lots of laughs.
Honey and us went to the children's museum it was so much fun and so much bigger then the SA one, they kids had so much fun, Abby keep running around form thing to thing, and clapping and jumping up and down I think she had a smile on her face the whole time. She played a vet, and colored, and played in water, saw baby chicks, ate some ice cream, touched everything she could, and had no fear! I think her favorite was this big floor mat with colored lights that lite up when you step on them.

8-16-10
Our drive home was much better, we had planned on going swimming in the morning but since we were loaded up and the kids were good we just drove back to SA. we stopped at a rest stop to let the kids play and of course let the pregnant one pee again! They looked at the trees, and listened for a bird chipping and ran after each other, and too cool off a quick run in the sprinklers.

All and all a great weekend, thanks for letting me go Dustun maybe on a weekend when your not working we can go also!

Family Lunch

8-10-2010
(we suck at getting a 3 person picture!)
After Abigail's appointment we went downtown to walk around, and to have some lunch. Is was nice a quiet, I could see dustun anxiety level rising due to Abby wanting to see the ducks, in the water. It was really nice down there, everyone was still home and it wasn't hot, very humid but not hot, we went to the Alamo that way Abby could walk around with out being near water or roads, it was nice and peaceful, I loved looking at them walking around together, he really loves her.

We also went in to the mall, for some A/C, soon we went and had lunch, and of course we had to make stop at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory! (heaven) I got a snowball truffle, and also a monster apple it literally has everything on it.
We came home and Dustun had to go to work, I laid Abby down and Samuel was up so he and I were buddies.
For dinner I made my aunt swiss chicken, which was good, Abby ate everything including her green beans.

After we got done eating every one else came over or woke up, I had john come over for dinner, and Ashley came over to do more sewing. My front door never shuts I always have people over, and I love it, I wouldn't change it for anything.

I love my family and friends.

Doctor visit

8-10-2010
My tired baby I had to wake her up early for the appointment.

Dustun, Abigail and I went down town to Sana Rosa hospital, to meet with the pediatric urologist,we just talked about her condition and the past test that have been done, they suggested we do another ultrasound and then we can compare the two to see what the next step is.

Abigail is on a medicine she takes once a day, is is an ugly green/yellow thick as snot she hates it, everyday it is a fight to get her to take some of it, she spits very well. So the doctor prescribed a new better tasting medicine, so tonight we will see how it goes, wish us luck.As always she was good in the office, she lays there lets them look at her and push on her, listen to hear, measure and weigh her.
What a perfect little bug.

so excited

I have a friend who told me about this a long time ago and I haven't been able to get it out of my head, so I think this will be my next sewing project. It is called a memory quilt, what you do is gather your child's old clothes they no longer can wear, and cut squares, then piece them together to make a patch work layout, then you add batting, a back and tie it off, and viola all the cute clothes you have kept but have no use for is turned into a beautiful memory quilt.
Once I start Ill post pictures, if you are interested in doing this now go to this website: http://www.ehow.com/how_5176574_make-patchwork-quilt-baby-clothes.html
It seemed to have the simplistic instructions. Enjoy!

8/4/10

westside

I dont know why she does this, all I know is that is all daddy fingers mine do not bend like that. She will eat like this, or point or just be goofy. I kinda think it is a cleaned up version of giving "the bird" :)

Cheesecake date

7-30-10
The other day was national cheese cake day, so of course I had to take my friend out for a dessert date. We left the baby's with the hubby's and braved the crowd at the mall parking to only find that the cheesecake factory was packed, we decided to not eat in the factory so we waiting at least 20 min to order to-go cheesecake, sometimes I wish I was more pregnant and could use that as an excuses to cut in line :) then we went upstairs to the food court to enjoy the "show" we people watched and was trying to figure out what people thought or said to them selves as they got ready or see them selves in the mirror, pretty funny outfits!
I had a great night, thanks Ashely for being a good friend, cant wait till our 3rd amigo comes back then we can all go out again, and cause complete mayhem!!
And to let any one know the red velvet cheesecake is to die for! mmm

Breakfast date

8-3-10

I woke up craving some bagels so we all loaded up and went to Einsteins Bagels for breakfast we all had a ham, cheese and egg bagel.
The kids loved the music and loved watching the lady making coffee, and anyone who came in said they were so cute! I know they are duh!!

Dinner I made lasagna, the kids ate really good, Abby pretty much all of her food, of course no clothes on so they don't get stained from sauce.

I have had this little cutie for about a week and I get to keep him for a while longer while his mom is TDY. we miss you hury back

Baby B was feeling left out so here he is at 21 weeks, half way over!
I have no idea where Abby gets her goofiyness :)
